She appeared in Mohsin Shirazi’s television play, which broadcast on a Karachi television station, as well as the PTV drama Kiran Kahani, a traditional slapstick comedy written by Haseena Moin and directed by Shirin Khan, and starring Roohi Bano, Manzoor Qureshi, and Jamshed Ansari. She returned to television after a long break in 1992 to appear in Nadan Nadia, a Pakistani television comedy play created by Anwar Maqsood.
Her appearance in the ‘Lux’ advertisement with the phrase ‘Aakhir loag hamara chehra he to deikhtay hain,’ (Urdu for: People just stare at our face(s)) propelled her to fame.
