The 25-year-old Fariq Naik is the son of Dr. Zakir Naik, a well-known expert on Islam and other religions. He received an A Level diploma from the Islamic International School & Junior College in Bombay (CIE, UK).
Alhamdulillah, Fariq, while still in school, at the age of 13, earned a Haafidh of the Quran.
At the age of eight, while travelling for Da’wah with his father, Fariq started making brief speeches in English and Arabic in front of thousands of people in Chennai, Pune, Dubai, Italy, Trinidad, and other locations throughout the globe. At the ages of nine and twelve, he spoke in front of close to 50,000 people in Srinagar in 2003 and a larger crowd in Hyderabad in 2006.
Career
After his brief appearances on Peace TV, he received invitations to speak at Islam-related seminars in a number of nations throughout the world, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Mauritius, the Gambia, Trinidad, and others. His viewpoint on activities related to international da’wah has been widened by these travels.
Fariq is a talented athlete who excels in judo, karate, swimming, and football. Thank God, he has won the school’s “Best Sports Boy Trophy” for five consecutive years. He holds black belts in both karate and taekwondo.
He aspires to study Arabic and become an expert in Islamic knowledge in addition to receiving a formal education in the world. He hopes to succeed in Da’wah work like his father did, in shaa Allah.
