Nusrat Javed was born on March 14, 1964. Having started his career in journalism in 1975, he is one of Pakistan’s most experienced journalists. He started out as a reporter, became well-known as a columnist, and then made the switch to television. He no longer has a connection to television, though, and now mostly focuses on essay writing. His compositions typically convey a fondness for his hometown of Lahore despite being located in Islamabad.
With the premiere of Bolta Pakistan on AAJ TV in 2007, Javed launched his television career. After anchoring the conversation show Dunya Mere Agay, which had the same format as Bolta Pakistan, on Dunya TV with his co-host Mushtaq Minhas, he later returned to AAJ TV to restart Bolta Pakistan.
